Animal Planet to Feature UW Bareback Rider

The harrowing accident of University of Wyoming bareback rider Bucky Dickson will be featured Sunday, Aug. 17, on the Animal Planet's weekly series "Untamed and Uncut." Dickson, who will be a sophomore when classes resume at UW later this month, was kicked in the head at April's Ropin' and Riggin' Days Rodeo in Casper. He survived with just a broken jaw. See Story. Thought For the Day Weather

"Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one."
~ Charles Mackay

Joke of the Day

We were having a little trouble with the wording in today’s Joke of the Day, check it out!

Current Poll - Post Your Opinion In Our Forums

1) U.S. federal agents have been given new powers to seize travelers' laptops and other electronic devices at the border and hold them for unspecified periods looking for evidence of terrorist or criminal activity. Civil libertarians say it is a serious invasion of privacy and should not be allowed. Do you agree with these efforts to prevent terrorism and uncover criminal activity?

2) Wal-Mart held meetings with thousands of supervisors and store managers to discuss the company’s position on pending legislation and the upcoming election. Is it appropriate for companies to discuss political issues with their employees?

Last Week's Results - WyomingNetwork does NOT represent this as a scientific poll.

1) A police officer in Portland, Oregon was fined recently, for parking his patrol car in a no parking zone during a meal break. He argued his car should be nearby in case he had to respond to an emergency situation, but the court ruled that he had to obey regular parking ordinances when not on a call. What's your opinion?

2) Several states will count the ballots of people who vote absentee, and then pass away before the election is held. Other states do not count those ballots. Should Wyoming count the ballots of absentee voters who die before the election?

Follow ordinances

85%
Ok to park illegally  15%

Count them 54%
Do not count 46%
