UK Singles Staying In The Pink

American punk-pop princess Pink still reigns over the British singles charts with her song So What.

Pink has been in the number one spot for two consecutive weeks, keeping the Kings Of Leon's Sex On Fire in number two for that time.

Sugababes' Girls'and Rihanna's Disturbia both moved up the charts to be in third and fourth place respectively.

This week's highest new entry, Never Miss A Beat by the Kaiser Chiefs, rounded out the Top 5.

Meanwhile in the UK album charts, Oasis took the No.1 spot with their seventh studio album, Dig Out Your Soul.

It is the group's first album since 2005's Don't Believe The Truth, and continues an unbroken run of number one albums since 1994's Definitely Maybe.

Bollywood Superstar Bachchan Hospitalized

Millions of Indians are relieved to learn that the country's biggest movie star Amitabh Bachchan, known as the "big B", is recovering in hospital after being admitted with acute abdominal pains.

Bachchan, who has starred in over 150 films in 30 years, is reportedly in a stable condition in a Mumbai hospital, after being admitted on Saturday, his 66th birthday.

Indian media showed Bachchan being taken to hospital on a stretcher, and fans and reporters maintained an overnight vigil outside the hospital.

The Bollywood legend is responding to treatment after a "restful night," according to hospital officials. Hospital spokesman Mohan Rahan said Bachchan could be discharged in a few days as the medication has worked and doctors are pleased with his recovery.

Abhishek Bachchan, Amitabh's son and fellow actor, told reporters on Saturday that his father was suffering from an "intestinal obstruction", and asked fans to pray for his speedy recovery.
